Hey everybody! Welcome to episode 86 of the Not Joanna Eggs podcast! This week, Robbie and Tracy review the 1973 Hanna Barbera animated film, Charlotte's Web, based on the classic novel by E.B. White.

Join us as we discuss Templeton being the biggest mood character ever, delivering capital punishment with a capital penis and how we're glad this movie doesn't sugarcoat death but doesn't dismiss it either. Don't Google 'Templeton inflation porn', for the love of God. Honestly, you don't even need to - it's in the movie already! (YOU'RE SICK, HANNA BARBERA!)

Hey everybody! Welcome to episode 85 of the Not Joanna Eggs podcast! This week, Tracy and Robbie are joined by Mia Marchant (Cynical Cartoons podcast) to discuss the 2010 Zack Synder directed film, Legend of the Guardians - The Owls of Ga'Hoole. This strikingly animated and strange film follows a band of young owls who rise up against the unambiguously fascist-inspired Tyto owls, known as the Pure Ones. (Okay guys, we get it - subtlety isn't your forte!)

Listen in as they discuss why naming your child Kludd will make them resent/hate/murder you, Zack's Synderisms and how every owl apparently has at least an associate's degree in metal working. It's a point of contention that Tracy cannot get past. So do they hit it with their faces? Do they have baby-sized hammers? How did they learn to emboss metal?!

Hello everybody! Welcome to episode 84 of the Not Joanna Eggs podcast! This week, Tracy and Robbie are joined by Adri aka @adriofthedead to talk about Tiny Toons' How I Spent My Summer Vacation, a classic summer romp with Steven Spielberg's wacky cartoon critters as they learn as little as possible outside of school.

Join us as we discuss how insanely funny the show still is, our shared experiences with road trip vacations and the greatest THX sound system parody ever depicted. Take a trip down the river with us as we review this fantastic special!

Hey everybody! Welcome to episode 83 of the Not Joanna Eggs podcast! This week, Robbie and Tracy review the 2006 rotoscoped animated film, A Scanner Darkly.

Based on the novel by Philip K Dick, this surreal film follows Bob Arctor, an undercover cop trying to locate the kingpin of a highly addictive drug known as Substance D permeating Anaheim, CA.

We examine the semi-autobiographical nature of the story, Woody Harrelson's amazingly silly wig and how in the blue blazes Alex Jones was involved with this movie (yes, gay-frog-conspiracy-theorist turned meme-lord Alex Jones). Also, the exact amount of movie time to skip to make Venom enjoyable!

Hey everybody! Welcome to Episode 82 of the Not Joanna Eggs podcast. This week, Robbie and Tracy review the 2014 CGI film, The Book of Life, directed by Jorge Gutierrez. (Thank you to Daniel Martinez @electricmastro5 for the request!)

Listen in as they discuss the painstakingly beautiful character models, the director's emphasis on authenticity and their feelings regarding the film's use of pop music covers (hint: Tracy's been sippin' that Haterade.)

Hey everybody! Welcome to Episode 81 of the Not Joanna Eggs podcast. This week, Robbie and Tracy review the 2015 Mamoru Hosoda anime film, The Boy and The Beast.

Join us as we discuss the questionable methods of dealing with conflict between the two main characters, Chico being a cute patoot and making sense of all the competing tropes.

Hello, and welcome to another episode of the Not Joanna Eggs podcast! This week, as part of our second episode of Ani-May, we're reviewing Howl's Moving Castle! This 2004 Studio Ghibli film, directed by none other the Hayao Miyazaki, is based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Dianne Wynne Jones.

We talk about the differences between the movie and the book, including the less than subtle anti-war message, as well as our favorite bits and bobs. We had a lot of fun with this one, so please enjoy! And remember to subscribe if you enjoyed it too!

Hey everybody! Welcome to episode 79 of the Not Joanna Eggs podcast: this week, Robbie and Tracy review the 2016 Japanese anime film, A Silent Voice, directed by Naoko Yamada.

A beautifully nuanced story of forgiveness, becoming a better person and a statement against bullying. They even have a character who looks identical to Steven Universe only Japanese, so you know it's deliberate.

We loved this film and hope you dig this review! Please subscribe to us on iTunes, Spotify, Stitcher, Podbean or anywhere you get your podcasts. If you have any requests or questions, find us on Twitter/Instagram or on the show website. Thank you so much for listening!

Hey everybody! Welcome to episode 78 of the Not Joanna Eggs podcast! This week, Robbie and Tracy review the 2016 Chinese animated movie, Big Fish and Begonia.

It's a tale of giant flying dolphins (with horns, so are they narwhals or...), sacrifice and an absolutely gorgeous color palette. We greatly enjoyed reviewing this film and we hope you like this episode! Thank you for listening!

Hey everyone! Welcome to episode 77 of the Not Joanna Eggs podcast. Sorry for the delay with getting this one out! (March is one bananagrams month for your intrepid hosts.)

Anyhow, this week, we check out the 2015 French-Belgian-Canadian animated film, April and the Extraordinary World: steampunk, STEM and a cat voiced by Tony "Buster Bluth" Hale that intrusively asks our heroine if she liked being French-kissed by a boy. Uh, yes AND please!

We hope you all enjoy this episode and thank you for listening!

Hey everyone! Welcome to another episode of the Not Joanna Eggs podcast! This week, Robbie and Tracy review the 2008 Iranian-French film, Persepolis.

Based on the autobiographical graphic novel written by Marjane Satrapi, it's a coming of age story set against the Iranian Revolution and its impacts on the lives of Marjane and her family. A powerful mix of tragedy, humor and adapting to tumultuous circumstances, while staying true to yourself.

We had a great time reviewing this and hope you all enjoy it too!

Join us as we discuss the overload of ska music, how pure Sylvia is as a character and why PJ will succeed once he kills Pete once and for all. We had a lot of fun reviewing this one and we hope you all enjoy it!

Listen as Robbie desperately attempts to wrangle Tracy and Lee back to the subject at hand, like a sad cat herder doin' their darndest. It's a lively but silly and engaging discussion and we hope you enjoy this episode!

Hey everybody! Welcome to episode 73 of the Not Joanna Eggs podcast! This week, Robbie and Tracy review the 1990(1996?) anime film, The Wonderful Galaxy of Oz. Originally a full series, it was condensed down to feature length film and the result is bizarre, goofy and very dated, but we loved every second of it.

Hope you guys like this one and thank you for listening!
