Happy holidays everyone! This week, Robbie and Tracy are joined by special guest, Tyler Marchant (Futurehorsepod, Soundtrash, Tynami) to review the Matt Groening-produced 1999 TV special, Olive the Other Reindeer.

Based on the children's book of the same name, it's a surreal slice of that weird CGI cut-out animation that was vaguely popular in the late 90s/early 2000s. Featuring the voices of Drew Barrymore, Joe Pantaliano (Joey Pants), Jay Mohr, Chicago hometown hero Tim Meadows and Dan Castellaneta as a maniacal mail-man.

What starts as a lively discussion about the movie quickly devolves into an absurdly silly dinner-table argument caught on tape between Tyler, Tracy and Robbie. In a phrase, it truly is the most wonderful time of the year. :)

Hope you like this episode! Please rate/subscribe and let us know what you'd like to hear next!

Hello everybody! Apologies for the delay in getting this one out! Meowvember has been crazy busy for us.

Anyway, this week, we delve into The Cat Returns with special guest, Meekly Sheepling! An underrated Studio Ghibli gem, this film is as adorable as it gets, with the swashbuckling Baron, grumpy Muta and of course, a hot plate of Tim Curry as the goofy King of the Cats. And also Anne Hathaway is there, being cute. Equip your UwU's as you see fit for this one because we're silly and borderline slap-happy.

Hope you guys dig it and thank you for listening!

Hello and welcome back to Not Joanna Eggs. This week we're doing something of a throwback, revisiting a movie we talked about way back when we started the podcast. That movie is Cats Don't Dance, a lovely animated feature clocking in at right around an hour ten. And like the last time we revisited something from our past, we have a guest this time. Our guest for this episode is Antidarkheart, a freelance artist and bird mama.

Hey everybody! Welcome to the Not Joanna Eggs Halloween Special for 2018!

This time, Robbie and Tracy are reviewing Mary and The Witch's Flower, with two of their favorite people: returning guest, Angus Beer, and first time guest, Meekly Sheepling! Listen in as we dive into the balancing act of Studio Ponoc finding its feet, why people insist on fixating on Mary being a ginger kid and how great the cats in this movie are. *Spoiler alert: They are SOOO great.*

Thank you again so much for listening! If you dig the show, please subscribe and leave a rating for us on iTunes, Stitcher or anywhere else you get your podcasts! Got a request or question? Let us know on Twitter or the show website listed below!

Hey everybody! This week, Robbie and Tracy review the 1988 made-for-TV Hanna Barbera special, Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School. If Police Academy and Monster High had the volleyball tournament from Top Gun, it might look a little something like this! Also, Scrappy has a "rap" because it's the late 80s so of course he does! :D

Now, I'm not saying your favorite ghoul girl determines how good of a person you are...but if it's not Phantasma, get out of my house and never speak to my son again. Hope you like this one!

Hey everybody! Welcome to episode 65 of the Not Joanna Eggs podcast! This week, Robbie and Tracy review Anomalisa, Charlie Kaufman's 2015 stop-motion animated film about infidelity, Japanese sex automatons and ponder, "Do girls really just want to have fun?"

Hope you all are in for a weird, post-modern dram-rom-com! We enjoyed this film and hope you all enjoy the review!

Hey everybody! This week, Robbie and Tracy review The Illusionist, a 2010 Sylvain Chomet film, with special guest, digital artist Traci Shepard (@ta_Shepard)!

This film tells the story of an aging magician struggling to stay relevant in the burgeoning age of television, one ornery bunny and a Scottish girl who believes his magic is real (even as he experiences crippling debt in the process). Toss in an alcoholic suicidal clown and some lovely backgrounds of Edinburgh and you have... one very French animated movie!

Hope you guys dig this one! Please subscribe, rate and review the show on iTunes, Stitcher, Spotify or anywhere you get your podcasts.

Hey everybody! Join Robbie and Tracy as they dive into Nelvana's 1983 cult classic, Rock and Rule, with guest Angus Beer. It's Canadian, imaginative and features a terrific soundtrack.

This ain't your grandma's Fantasia, buddy. It's got quasi-furries and funky tunes to spare. Also the villain is totally not a direct parody of Mick Jagger with fangs. Nope, not at all.

Don't miss this one! Please rate and review on iTunes, Stitcher or wherever you get your podcasts.

Hello again! This week, Tracy and Robbie talk about the 2017 animated film, The Breadwinner. This beautiful, yet difficult to bear movie was produced by Cartoon Saloon and is about a girl named Parvana who begins masquerading as a young boy under her brother's name in an attempt to free her recently imprisoned father. It is a lovely but heart-wrenching movie that takes place in Kabul and we really really loved and we hope you enjoy this episode!

Hey everyone! This week, we're reviewing the enchanting 2012 French animated film, Day of the Crows, with our special guest, Josh from the Animation Station Podcast. Join us as we discuss a woman who somehow makes macarons seem evil, the lead character who really looks a lot like Tommy Pickles and the importance of hugging your kids. Seriously, hug your feral wilderness kids. Hope you enjoy this one and thank you for listening! :D

Hey guys! This week we're talking about the 1986 classic Transformers the Movie! This tricky beast of a movie was a lot of fun to talk about and while Tyler didn't help us understand it any better, he did add a lot of fun to the journey. Hope you enjoy!

Hey everyone! Apologies for the delay in getting this episode out to you! Life caught up with us a bit in May.

Anyway, join us for our review of the 2008 Australian stop motion animated film, $9.99. Residents of a Sydney apartment complex try to find the meaning of life: for some it's drinking their milk to earn an allowance, for others it's shaving off all of their body hair for their partner. (Yes, it's just as bizarre as it sounds.) Thanks for listening and hope you like this one!

Hey everyone! This week, Robbie and I are joined by the awesome digital artist/animator Angus Beer (@angus_beer) for our review of the 1988 Appleseed OVA anime. Come for the banter, but stay for the excessive character swearing, women with sideburns and hilarious misspellings in the background. Hope you like this one and thanks for listening!

Hey ya'll! Sorry for the long wait, but we are back with a new episode and an announcement! This week we're talking about the 1970 Chuck Jones film, The Phantom Tollbooth. Based loosely on the book of the same name, this film follows Milo through a strange fantasy world where he meets Tok, a talking dog with a clock in his body as well as a variety of other colorful characters. It stars Butch Patrick and a host of Looney Toons characters that ought to be familiar. It's a fun one, so give it a listen!

Also, we would like to let you know that we're switching to a monthly schedule officially. Time's tight these days and we figure maintaining a monthly schedule is doable for us right now. Thanks for listening and sticking around.

This episode, we talk about the movie Leafie: A Hen into the Wild! It's a 2011 South Korean animated film and it's a beaut! The story details a factory farm chicken who escapes the farm and raises a baby duck! It's a sweet tale of motherhood and the circle of life, among many other things. Please enjoy!
